How to Install Rear HappiJac Tie-Downs on 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 with Step Bumper

Question:
I would like to know how the rear tie downs of the Happijac tie down kit, Part #LC350763-182971, attach to the rear bumper of a 2016 GMC Sierra? The rear bumper has recessed steps on each corner for stepping up into the bed. Im a little puzzled on where exactly the mounts would attach as theres not a lot of surface area. Thanks!
