Replacement Curt Trailer Wiring To Replace Older s0601u-r1 Powered Converter

Question:

What is the comparable unit for a Curt s0601u-r1 powered, circuit protected taillight converter? I’ve got a bad lead on mine and is not repairable. Worked fine for many years. Car is an Audi Allroad 2013. Thanks.

The replacement for the Curt s0601u-r1 powered circuit protected taillight converter is Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C59236. This is an universal wiring harness that requires splicing into the vehicle wiring to install. The universal options are the only ones available for the Audi Allroad.

If you don't feel like splicing into the Audi wiring again, you can use Tekonsha ZCI wiring harness part # 119250KIT which has connections that clamp onto the vehicle's wiring instead of splicing in which makes the installation process a little easier. I have attached an installation video for your reference.
