Hello, Item # SA805BL Im looking to purchase a bike rack this week for my 2006 Mini hatch back. Your site says this will fit my car and I want to be absolutely sure it will. Cheers

I can tell you that Saris, the bike rack manufacturer, has confirmed that the Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack, # SA805BL, will fit your 2006 Mini Cooper hatchback. The only fit issue that they note is with convertible models, which it doesn't sound like you have.

We haven't had a chance to test this bike rack on a Mini Cooper yet, but Saris is pretty diligent about determining product fitment. The also have a fit note specifically for your vehicle that due to the narrow rear bumper to make sure the lower feet both make full contact with the bumper. If the feet are too close to the edge of the bumper, then you could experience problems going down the road. That doesn't mean it won't fit, they just want to be sure you pay attention to the lower feet to make sure they make full contact with the bumper.

If you plan on carrying any bikes with deep step-through frames or alternative frames that don't have a horizontal top frame tube, then I also recommend picking up their frame adapter bar, # SA3040, so your bikes sit even on the bike rack arms.
