Dear Sir/Madam, I am interested in your Yates Keel Roller for Boat Trailers - Super-Heavy-Duty Rubber - 12 Long - 5/8 Shaft Item # YR12244-125EC. Could you please tell me what load they are rated for? Also, is this model of keel roller the one with the highest load rating?

According to Yates Rubber, the # YR12244-125EC roller technically carries a 400 lb capacity, but the roller shaft like # CE10727A and the mounting bracket like # CE10305G do most of the heavy lifting. This is the strongest keel roller they offer.

My contact at Yates tells me that the first thing to bend would be the roller shaft, and a 5/8 inch diameter shaft like what I referred to above wouldn't begin bending until around the 2000 lb mark. It's recommended to install more than one of the rollers to distribute the boat's weight. Also, keep in mind that the bunks also support the weight of the boat.
