we have two Schwinn wayfarer bikes. weight is about 90 pounds. would we have a weight problem with the Saris 3 bike?

In order to carry heavy bikes you must use a hitch and hitch mounted bike rack as the maximum per bike weight capacity for a trunk mount bike rack is 35 lbs. That said, this option is much more versatile and you don't have to worry about damaging the vehicle's finish.
