The Malone Hanger 3 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms part # MPG2139 will fit the 2019 BMW X1 with standard OEM roof spoiler. It will not fit if the BMW has an aftermarket spoiler that sticks out further. The Malone is the only option for a trunk mount rack on the BMW X1 at this time. I have attached a video of the rack on a Subaru Outback Wagon with a very similar spoiler to the BMW. As you can see the top straps do put a lot of stress of the spoiler.

My recommendation to carry bikes is to use the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e93KR which will give you 2" hitch receiver on the back of the BMW to use a bike rack. Then, for a hitch mounted bike rack, I recommend the Swagman Trailhead # S63365. This rack will allow you to carry 3 bikes and is more secure compared to the trunk mount rack and will not damage the spoiler over time but the installation of the hitch does require some drilling and fascia trimming to install. I have attached an installation video for your reference.

Another option to carry bikes on the BMW is a roof rack. The roof rack would not require any modifications to the vehicle and would be an easier install. If you are interested in a roof rack please let me know what type of bikes you have and I can recommend parts.
