If you are a full timer. Is it safe to leave this on full time like a home water heater or should it be on a switch to turn it on prior to use ?

It's okay to leave the Hott Rod RV Water Heater Conversion Kit # DGR6VP on as long as you are planning on needing hot water. I'd look at it the same way as the decision for having your hot water heater turned on. If you plan on having the hot water heater on you'd be totally fine to also have this on.
