Question:
I like this hitch and price point.amd capacity. It will do everything I need it too, however, I would only need it to lower the ball not raise it. Im concerned about the overall length as the 2 horse trailer Im pulling is pretty low. My concern is dragging the hitch over dips in the road. Do have anything like this that is shorter and only lower the ball? I would never need to raise the height. Im thinking that product would be much shorter in overall length but still have the 3 ball option along with the 6inch adjustable ball height at around the same price point?

I can understand the concern with using a ball mount with a drop and a longer shank possibly creating a situation where it's more likely to contact the ground. I'll start by saying that the Curt Multi-Ball # D900 is a fairly standard length when it comes to an adjustable ball mount; there are some that come with a longer shank but the roughly 15" total distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch ball is fairly standard.
Since you're looking to bring the hitch ball closer to your vehicle, you may want to consider using the Draw-Tite # 4282 since it's only 9-1/2" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch ball. This ball mount has a 6" drop and can be used with hitch balls with a 1-1/4" shank diameter. I've linked some compatible hitch balls that will fit this ball mount below.
1-7/8" hitch ball: # C48810
2" hitch ball: # A-90
2-5/16" hitch ball: # 19286
Going this route would not only get the hitch ball closer to the truck and likely reduce any contact you're making with the ground when going over dips, it's going to be a slightly more cost effective solution than going with the longer # D900.
