Can Aluminum Light Guard be Used on Steel Trailer

I dont see any comments or address to the mixing of metal types when installing this aluminum trailer light guard on a steel trailer.

You can use the CE Smith Trailer Tail Light Protector - Aluminum Tread Plate # CE26051A on a steel trailer. Since they are dissimilar metals, over time some corrosion can occur of course so you may want to back the light protector with what is called barrier tape, or barricade tape, which can be found at local hardware stores.
Otherwise, you there is an option for a steel guard, the Light Guard - Unpainted Steel # LG440NP which is a similar dimension.
