This versatile bracket can be mounted onto either the right or left side of your trailer. Open sides allow visibility of the side marker light, and a cutout in the bottom of the protector lets light shine down onto a license plate mounted below.
No-Drill Installation
This tail light protector is easy to install and requires no additional hardware or drilling. Simply mount it between the existing tail light bracket on your trailer and your tail light. Just remove the tail light, slip the protector on over the light's mounting studs, and reattach the light to your trailer's tail light bracket. Pre-drilled holes in the back of the protector fit differently spaced mounting studs. An additional, larger hole lets you feed wiring to and from the light for hassle-free installation.

Excellent. I put these on my boat trailer a year ago. When I put my mud-boat into weed/log infested water or partially frozen water, I no longer break my tail-lights. And these don't RUST.
Great solution to protect tail lamps.
Trailer light mount was often used as a step. This solved two problems by protecting plastic housing and providing a no slip step. Had to slightly modify but working great a year later
I added these light protectors in conjunction with changing the tail lights from old incandescent tails to Miro-Flex LED tails (another review...). They are perfectly sized for a 5 X 5 square surface mount light with 2" O.C. stud mounts, and they completely enclose the tail light. My trailer is already a 1/4-acre of Aluminum tread plate, so these protectors fit right in.

Hold up well after a year of being stored outside.
install was easy, the diamond plate appears to be able to with stand a medium hit'' Needed to use a rubber gasket to include accessories (license plate bracket) to get a tight install '' as the diamond plate protrudes and leaves a uneven surface for a tight fit.

Appears to hold up in salt water area, of course some corrosion apparent, but overall it is doing its job on protecting the tail lights.
These really dress up the trailer!! They are light weight aluminum but protect plastic lights from bumps and scrapes. I am very pleased!

Still like new and protecting my lights very well!
The taillight guard performs exactly as described and meets expectations. I have saved at least 2 taillights from being destroyed since I bought this, as, on numerous occasions I have backed into bushes, or low lying obstacles. Though I have a rear camera on my vehicle, it doesn't give me a good view from behind the trailer. License plate bracket is a useful accessory. I have had no problem with the taillights I purchased along with the other items.
Trailer light protector as advertised. Just installed. Tested stepping on it, did not flex to any significant degree.
Lights also as advertised. Took cover off and the electronics are completely sealed.
Looking forward to a long life with these purchases.
Product as advertised. Should keep my boat tail lights from getting knock off unloading and loading my boat in the river.

Works great. Have not knocked anymore tail lights off.
My aluminum “kit-built” trailer has only been in service for a short time, and the original tail light cover-mounts that came with it were already showing signs of poor quality and design. It did not take many back road trips for them to show just how flimsy they are. After one of them essentially disintegrated, I looked to etrailer for a heavier and sturdier replacement that would look good and stay in one piece. This heavy duty aluminum cover-mount (CE26051A) fit the bill perfectly. Universal mounting holes are compatible with most tail light sets; it can be attached to most trailer frames in a variety of ways (I used bracket item CE26057AA); it looks good; and it is clearly sturdy and meant to last if mounted properly. Be aware that mounting bolts for both the bracket and the cover-mount are not included, and that both items are priced per piece, not pair. (All necessary hardware for installation is easy to find.) Overall, I am very satisfied with these items and with the attentive service I received from etrailer, especially their question answering service and quick shipping.
Finally a good set of trailer light protectors that are easy fit and high quality. Fair price and prompt shipping are taken for granted from e-trailer.
These work well. I launch and retrieve in current and used to loose lights fairly frequently. With these my tin boats bounce off without damaging anything. This was my second set (diff. trailer) based on the success of the first set.

lites and protectors are great … had put them on my 2 year old trailer and have upgraded to a beefier trailer and had to have them on the new one. the reflector strips are just what I needed on the new trailer since the strips the manufacturer put on the trailer were damaged in transit. the new strips were easy to install and reflect from a 1/2 block away. thanks again etrailer …...
Metal is a little thin. Wish they made the heavy steel protectors galvanized.
