I see how that can be confusing but yes the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider part # BWRVK3270 can be used with rotating pin boxes by using the Reese Custom Wedge for B&W Fifth Wheels part # SWW-06. They speak below in the excerpt (see paragraph below) from the instructions you referenced about not using it with a pin box that removes the pivot point anywhere in the setup. In your case you are relocating the pivot point and will have no negative effects.


Towing a trailer without a functioning pivot point between the hitch & trailer will cause significant damage to the hitch which may lead to serious injury or death. Some pin boxes such as a Pull-rite® Superglide Capture Plate remove the pivot point between a trailer and coupler and should not be used. Pin boxes with a wedge that relocates the pivot point such as a Reese® Sidewinder or Reese® Revolution may be used.
