will the part # 1188-3 fit a hummer 2 2004

The part you selected # 1188-3 does not fit the Hummer H2. For the 2004 Hummer H2 you can use the # 2506-3 base plate kit. The MX Series is specifically designed for vehicles with heavy-duty frames, like yours, and would be a good choice. These brackets do not require a cross bar either which simplifies installation and makes hook-up faster. The MX base plates require a Class III or heavier receiver hitch on the tow vehicle and can not be used with a hitch ball like other base plate kits.

The best tow bar for your heavy-duty Hummer H2 is the # RM-422 Roadmaster Blackhawk All Terrain Heavy-Duty Tow Bar which will handle vehicle and contents up to 10,000 pounds. If you do not already have them, you will need safety cables and wiring for your towed vehicle.
