How To Power An Electric A-Frame Tongue Jack

I installed this jack and got nothing on the 7 pronge hook up. I read the article and it says to power by battery.Im wonding how Im suppose to properly connect the 7 pronge to the jack wjen its also hooked up to the battery?Any input would be Greatly appreciated.

There are two ways to power an electric tongue jack such as the Stromberg Carlson Electric A-Frame Tongue Jackpart # JET-2500. The first method which is the preferred method would be to hook the power wire up to the positive battery terminal on the trailer battery if present. If a trailer battery is not present then you will need to use the tow vehicle's battery via a 7-way trailer plug. On the 7-way trailer plug there will be a terminal for 12 volt power which is fed directly from the tow vehicle's battery. If the 12 volt power is not active then you can install the Battery Charge Line Kit part # RM-156-75.
I have attached a photo of how to find the 12 volt power terminal on the trailer side connector.
