Where Would Ladder for a Gulf Stream Track and Trail Toy Hauler Attach on Vehicle Roof
Published 03/05/2020 >
Question:
I have a 2015 Gulf Stream Track and Trail Toy Hauler with the fiberglass siding and would like to install a ladder on the far end of the driver side. The studs are 22 inches apart and the ladder is 12 inches wide. Do I have to install it directly to or install in between the studs.

Expert Reply:
When installing a RV ladder you need to attach the ladder to a solid portion of the RV roof. In your case you'd need to attach to the studs to ensure the ladder is secure. For a lot of applications there's a reinforced portion of the roof designed specifically for ladder attachment. Usually if you reach out to the trailer manufacturer they'll tell you how to find it.
