Question:
I'm considering the Yakima Bike Rack for 4 bikes # Y02476 to mount on my 2009 Subaru Forester. I have a 2 inch hitch. I have read the information and this model looks like a match for my needs. However, I don't see it listed as a recommended rack for the Forester. Will it work with my car? Also, I'm wondering if there is a similar one that folds down when you are not using them to transport bikes?

The Yakima 4 Bike Rack, # Y02476, is a good low-cost option to carry bikes on your 2009 Subaru Forester. Our hitch mounted bike racks are not vehicle specific so you could use any hitch mounted bike rack that is compatible with a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver. It will hold a max of 4 bikes at up to 37.5 pounds each. I've attached our demonstration video of this bike rack for you to check out.
If you would like a similar rack that will fold, I recommend the Curt Premium 4-bike rack # C18064. It folds when not in use and will also tilt away from the vehicle when the bikes are not on so you can get into the back of your vehicle. I have attached a video of this rack as well.
