Question:
This is only the second time I have hauled my trailer since I installed the am3100 no problems the first time. But when I arrived after moving my camper this time I cant get it to release from my truck? Has anyone reported this issue?

We have not received any reports of the Rapid Hitch Universal Fifth-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter, # AM3100, not releasing from a gooseneck hitch, but the cable release system for the pin that secures the adapter to the hitch ball is a pretty simple set up and should be easy to troubleshoot.
I would recommend removing the four bolts on the housing that the cable is attached to. Once removed, you will see a small cable attached to a metal plate. There could be two issues here, either the cable is no longer attached to the plate, or the pin that secures the adapter to the ball is stuck. I have attached a photo of what the inside of the housing will look like.
If you are still unable to release the adapter after you remove the housing, then let me know what you find once the housing is removed and we can take further troubleshooting steps.
