Since your frame channels are taller than 6 inches you'd need to use a weight distribution system like the Reese # RP66542 that has frame clamps that attach to the top of the frame and does not need to attach around the entire frame channel. This also won't damage the paint of your trailer frame and has a tongue weight range that would work well with a trailer that weighs between 6,000 and 6,500 lbs.
