Question:
I have an 07 Subaru outback with a spoiler on the trunk that is attached, without the gap that is shown in the picture that goes with this model. Im afraid that the cables of the rack will scratch or damage this spoiler is this a possibility? What are your recommendations?

The 2007 Subaru Outback Wagon cannot accept a trunk mount bike rack because of the spoiler. It will interfere with the safe installation of a bike rack. I recommend using a trailer hitch and hitch mount bike rack.
For your Outback, you can use trailer hitch # 75560 (excludes Sport models). I have included links to the instructions and a video showing installation. For a bike rack, I recommend the Swagman Trailhead, # S63365. It comes with anti-sway cradles and an integrated cable lock. I have included a video link for the bike rack as well.
