I was just wondering if I have to take off my rear bumper to install a trailer hitch? I have a 2020 Subaru Outback I just bought.

Yes, in order to install a trailer hitch on a 2020 Subaru Outback you will need to remove the rear bumper but this is what allows the trailer hitch to have a hidden design so that you don't see a bulky crossbar. That said, I know this may seem like a lot of work but it is actually pretty easy to remove the bumper. If you don't already have a trailer hitch picked out, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C67JR is what I recommend and should only take around 1:30 to install with just basic hand tools so you can do this at home by yourself. In addition to the hidden design, the receiver tube is tucked right up under the bumper so you won't lose much ground clearance.
