Can I tow a car with a car dolly?

The 2008 Dodge Durango if properly equipped (SLT, 2WD, 5.7 V8) can tow up to 8,950 lbs so it is very possible to tow a car dolly. In order to tow a car dolly you must first have a trailer hitch and if you don't already have one I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75162 because it is very easy to install, only four bolts total and there is no drilling/cutting required.

In order to complete your towing setup you will also need a trailer wiring harness which if you don't already have I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118381 if you have the tow package or part # 118390 if you don't have the tow package or don't know if you have the tow package. The Ball Mount Kit part # 989900 would then have you ready to hit the road.
