Question:
I have a 2007 venture boat trailer with surge brakes I would like to convert to electric over hydraulic. The trailer is a tri-axle with disc brakes on each axle and is rated for 12,500 lbs. I am looking for a compatible marine upgrade kit. The boat and trailer are used primarily in salt water. I would also need a suitable brake controller for a 2002 Ford excursion. Please let me know if there are any other details needed. Thank you,

The Hydrastar Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator w/ Breakaway and 7-Way RV Harness # HS381-9066 is exactly what I recommend for your boat trailer. This comes with everything needed to upgrade your surge disc brake setup to an electric over hydraulic setup and gives you the most reliable and best performing actuator out there. The housing is also aluminum so it would do really well in a salt water setting.
The P3 part # 90195 with the custom install harness part # 3035-P would be the easiest and best brake controller solution as well. The harness installs easily by plugging into a connector under your dash and the P3 is easily the best brake controller out there. Especially for EOH setups like this.
