If you're going to need trailer wiring, I like the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118482. It has been custom designed for your 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander and will plug in right behind your taillight housings without any need to cut or splice your factory wiring. Tekonsha is always my go to for wiring. They are always reliable and dependable. This will give you a 4-way flat connector you can use on trailers or lighted cargo carriers.
