For towing your fifth wheel with your Ram 2500 4x4 you can't go wrong with a set of Firestone air bags. The Firestones are a great air bag and my go to when it comes to suspension enhancements period. When using these air bags versus the other brands available you can actually allow your vehicle's suspension to hang for general maintenance where that is not recommended with Airlift systems.
For heavy duty use the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle part # F2706 are the way to go. These offer a load-leveling capacity of 7,500 lbs and for normal duty hauling the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle part # F2598 offers a load-leveling capacity of 5,000 lbs. Both systems help to level your vehicle back out returning it to the factory ride height and restoring the handling characteristics of the Ram. They also take a lot of the stress off of the system allowing it to last a lot longer.
Please will not increase your truck's weight-carrying capacity. They are designed for leveling and stress relief do not exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit.
These can be inflated using an air compressor either one at home or the station or you can use an on board compressor so you aren't reliant on outside air.
I recommend Firestone Air Command II - Analog Gauge w/ Heavy Duty Compressor - Dual Function - 150 psi part # F2219 if your like to have gauges and a wired system or the Firestone Air Command Compressor System w/ Wireless Remote and Heavy Duty Compressor - Dual Path part # F96VV if you want to go with a wireless option. I like the wired option because it is more cost effective and I like the gauge but it does require more install work so keep that in mind. Happy Hauling!
