Will T-Strap Hinge for Trailer Door Work on 70 lb Doors and What Material is Pin Made of

Question:
I have doors that are made of 4 inch rigid foam core with thin T1-11 bonded to both sides and a pine frame around the edge. They weigh about 70 pounds each. Will your PLR3416-PS work? What material is the pin made of? Thanks.

Yes, the T-Strap Hinge for Side and Rear Trailer Doors - 16" Long # PLR3416-PS will absolutely work for your doors that are made about 70 lbs each. I confirmed with the manufacturer that the pin is made of steel and is 1/2 inch diameter.
