Difference Between Matte Black UltraGroove and BedLocker Cover on 2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty 8 Ft

Question:

I’m researching an electric top from my 2019 F-350 with 8’ bed. I see the Pace-Edwards comes in Gloss Black. Do you stock a Matte Black version, like their Ultra Groove electric that would fit? And I’m not sure of the difference bet the Ultra Groove and this model.

We do offer a Pace Edwards UltraGroove Electric Retractable Cover part # 311-KEFA19A45 and the BedLocker Electric Retractable Cover part # 311-M-BLFA19A45 in matte black.

The difference between the UltraGroove 311-KEFA19A45 and BedLocker 311-M-BLFA19A45 is the UltraGroove has drain tubes in the rear and the front which is a better water management system while the BedLocker only has drain tubes in the front. They are also both compatible with different ladder racks.

If you need a standard ladder rack, I recommend the UltraGroove because it also has T-Slots to add the ladder rack part # 311-ELF0301 which can handle 200 lbs of weight and can only be used with the Ultragroove.

The BedLocker Electric Retractable Cover part # 311-M-BLFA19A45 in matte black does not have t-slots so it is not compatible with a ladder rack unless you get the BedLocker kit that comes with the ladder rack part # BEFA19A45-UR3008 which can handle 800 lbs. This cover is gloss black.

The BedLocker is designed for use with the higher weight capacity utility ladder rack compared to the UltraGroove that is compatible with the standard duty 200 lb capacity rack.
