Is it Normal for PSI to Increase in Air Bags After Loading 2020 Ram 3500
Published 01/15/2020 >
Question:
Hi. Just installed the Firestone Ride Rite Air Springs on my 2020 Ram 3500. Noticed the psi increases pretty significantly once the truck is loaded up with my cargo or when I hook up to my 5th wheel. Is this normal/okay?

Yes, we have actually spoken to the manufacturer before and it's completely normal for the psi to increase pretty significantly on air bags like your Firestone Ride-Rite # F2616 once the truck is all loaded up or under weight from a connected trailer. What they do recommend though just to ensure proper load support is to first get the truck bed loaded (or hook up your trailer) and then add the necessary air to the bags to create a level ride.
I have included the full install manual below that you might also find helpful.
