Is the Buyers Products Utility Storage Box Waterproof?

Question:

Is the Buyers Products Utility Storage Box 32inch x 15inch x 13-1/2inch Item # 3371712230 waterproof? I would like to use it on the tongue of my trailer to keep the battery and inverter for my solar system.

The Buyers Products Utility Storage Box # 3371712230 is waterproof, but it does not provide a seal of any type and would not provide an air tight seal that would allow it to be submerged in water without allowing some in. With that being said, it will provide adequate shielding from the elements with the double walled lid and carbon steel closures to allow you to store your battery and solar system inverter without worry.

In order to maximize the protection from the elements you may want to look at adding a weather stripping type seal around the edge of the lid to help further keep moisture out of the box.
