What does the kit come with? The roller the spring that lets it retract back . in the bracket that attaches to the slide out. In other words EVERYTHING for a topper?

The Replacement Mounting Hardware Kit for Lippert Solera 13-1/2' Slide Topper # LC701665 is the mounting hardware kit for a 13-1/2' Solera Slide Out Topper like the # LCV000168109, so it will only contain the parts you need to mount the topper and not any of the parts that make it function.

The # LC701665 kit includes the Replacement Slide-Out Hex Bar Extension Bracket for Solera Slide-Topper Awnings # LC2724412, the Replacement Awning Extension Rod for Solera Slide-Topper Awning # LC2724392 as well as the mounting screws you'll need to re-mount your topper. This kit does not contain the roller and springs, since that is a functional piece of the topper.

You can replace the roll tube and drive head that you're referring to with the Replacement Drive Head for Solera RV Slide-Out Awning # LC34FR. This is the part you'll need to replace an awning that does not retract back.
