Question:

Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4 Item # 24956 fits the 2019 Chevy Bolt. Does this also work on the 2020 Bolt? Thanks,

The only trailer hitch we currently have confirmation of fit for a 2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11457 which I confirmed by reaching out to Curt directly. The Curt Trailer Hitch is an excellent option for the Chevrolet Bolt EV as it offers a bolt-on fit with no cutting or drilling required. It has a hidden design so only the receiver tube is shown which makes for a very clear install look as you can see in the attached photo.

The Curt Trailer Hitch is super easy to install, something you can do at home by yourself in about 30-40 minutes with only basic tools. It will work just fine whether you are using a bike rack like the Thule Roadway 2 Bike Rack part # TH912XTR or a cargo carrier like the 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18145.

Do you have to drill holes into the Chev Bolts frame?

You won't need to do any drilling when installing the Curt # C11457 onto the 2020 Chevy Bolt EV. It's going to line right up to existing holes in the frame rails for a simple bolt-on application. I went ahead and linked the full install manual below that you can also check out.
