The Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier part # TH898 will hold a kayak up to 36" wide which is pretty much standard. If you have a kayak wider than 36" you would want to take a look at j-style carriers like the Thule Hull-A-Port Aero Kayak Carrier part # TH849000 which doesn't really have a width limit.
