Trailer Wiring Harness for 2006 Honda Odyssey
Published 12/05/2019 >
Question:
2006 Honda Odyssey. I have one of your trailer wire harness kits. The Curt however, the one I have where you plug it in white plug also has another end with one wire that is currently plugged into it. In order to plug this white plug in where you show, I have to disconnect the one wire white plug from the other end . What are you suppose to do with the remaining cap / plug? Is that cap mainly just a protector or is that single wire plug also suppose to have a use? Thank you

From the looks of the photo you sent in, you may have the wrong trailer wiring harness for your 2006 Honda Odyssey. I was unable to find your order number, but the wiring harnesses that fit an '06 Odyssey do not have the extra plug/cap like you are showing. That said, from the photo it looks like that is just a cap for the plug, but that would be unusual because there's really no reason to have a cap on the T-connector like that.
The wiring harnesses that fit your 2006 Honda Odyssey are the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56161, as well the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118438. Due to its superior reliability, I highly recommend going with the latter, the T-One # 118438. Both of these have a single plug without any type of cap so you'll to make sure you have one of these connectors. I've added links to video installs of both connectors on a 2006 Honda Odyssey so you can see exactly how to install it.
