Will Yakima or Thule Bike Rack Clear Spare Tire on 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited w/ Draw-Tite Hitch

Question:

I am looking for a hitch and bike rack to put on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I want to be sure the rack will clear my spare tire. I think the Draw-Tite is correct and will give me the most clearance from spare. Can you confirm? And for a bike rack, will the Yakima or Thule bike racks clear the spare tire when folded up and when down? I would like a platform rack, not the hanging style. Thanks so much!

You are definitely correct that the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT78MR will give you the best clearance of any trailer hitch receiver for a bike rack on your 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. When we test fit this hitch on a '20 Wrangler Unlimited, the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the spare tire was 6 inches. In regards to the Yakima and Thule platform bike racks clearing your Jeep's spare tire when they are folded down and when folded up, there are a number of Yakima platform racks that do, but none of the Thule racks will. Here are the Yakima platform bike racks that will clear the spare tire when folded up and when down when installed with the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT78MR on your 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited:
