What is the best height between the rails and the bottom of the 5th wheel

Ideally you will have at least 5 to 6 inches of clearances between the top of the truck bed rails and the 5th wheel trailer overhang. I attached a helpful image to assist.

There are a few things you can do if you're having trouble maintaining this clearance with your setup, such as adjusting the 5th wheel hitch height, using a different set of mounting holes on the trailer's pin box, or if all else fails raising the height of the trailer itself.
