Do New Power Wires Need To Be Ran When Installing the Furrion Vision S Wireless Camera System
Updated 12/03/2019 | Published 12/02/2019 >
Question:
I have a 2004 Winnebago Motorhome. I’d like to install this system on it. Does it replace current side markers to power the side cameras? As of the rear facing camera I’d get power from the current rear camera too? Thanks in advance.

In regards to the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System part # FCE48TASL-05, you shouldn't need to run any new power wires so long as you already have a similar system in place. The main overhead camera will simply just use the same power wire your existing system uses. If you did not have an existing power wire you could just run a wire up spliced into the running light or back-up circuit, but this does not pertain to you since you already have a system in place that you can steal power from.
In regards to the side marker cameras/lights, these will draw power from the side marker lights they replace so again, no new power wires need to be ran to use the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System. The power wires are already present for you, you just need to cut them from the old source and then attach them to the new. Think of the install process as you would for swapping out any of the exterior light assemblies; remove the base, cut the wire, reattach new wire, reattach new base, done.
