have to replace existing tow hitch assembly on a 2004 escalade esv. Want to be sure and order the correct replacement.

Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13422 is a confirmed fit for your Escalade and it happens to be the easiest of the 3 available hitch options to install we've discovered.
An important install note to be aware of too though is this hitch does not fit models with canister on rear passenger side frame rail. The hitch will fit EXT models. No drilling is required for installation.
