The trailer wiring harness I recommend for your 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is the Curt Kit part # C56434. It provides you with a 4 flat trailer connector, and has a plug in design; so it does not require any cutting or splicing. I also like the kit because the converter box in the kit has a reputation for being very reliable and has a higher amperage rating than similar wiring kits.

The wiring kit installs behind the trim panels in the rear hatch on each side, where you can mount the converter box, and then run a power wire up to the battery. I have attached a link with the written instructions and a video showing the install process for you. I recommend that you pick up a tester so that after it is installed you can check the operation, part # I26.

If you need to complete your towing set up and have a 2" receiver on your hitch, I recommend the Etrailer.com ball mount kit part # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

If you have the 1 1/4 hitch receiver, I recommend draw bar part # 36071, and part # 19258, 2" Hitch Ball - 3/4" Diameter, or part # 19256 1-7/8" Hitch Ball - 3/4" Diameter.
