What kind of trunk bike rack will work with my 2006 Nissan Murano ls?

We have trunk mounted bike rack options that are listed to fit your 2006 Nissan Murano, but Yakima does not list any trunk mounted bike racks that will fit your vehicle.
The Thule Gateway Pro 2 Bike Rack, # TH88VR, is similar to the Yakima HangOut 2 Bike Rack, # Y02637 that you referenced and Thule has confirmed that this bike rack will fit your vehicle.
After doing a little research on your vehicle, I would recommend installing a trailer hitch and using a hitch mounted bike rack. Most Nissan Muranos have a small spoiler at the top of the door that could possibly be damaged from the weight of a trunk mounted bike rack.
I recommend installing the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75148, and getting the Swagman XTC-2 Bike Rack, # S64670. The XTC-2 bike rack is one of our most popular hitch mounted bike racks and does not come in contact with your vehicle minimizing any possible damage.
