Will Rhino Rack RRRTV168 Roof Rack Tracks Leak?
Published 11/18/2019 >
Question:
I’m considering using this item on a pop up camper trailer with a one piece, smooth, aluminum roof. Somerset E3. If properly installed by qualified person, should I have any worry about leakage? What kind of maintenance should I expect? Thanks!

The tracks do include pieces of butyl tape that surround each hole to prevent leakage. I'd also put a small bead of silicone under each rivet as it's inserted into the hole to completely ensure there's no water infiltration. If professionally installed and the installer follows the instructions, you shouldn't have any issues. Once installed, the tracks won't require much in the way of maintenance, other than preventing debris from building up in the tracks.
I've linked you to the installation instructions so you can look them over.
