Magnet Mount For Wilson 5000 CB Antenna On Aluminum Body Truck

Question:

Will the Buyers Products Magnetic Mounting Plates work to hold my Larson 150 Ham antenna and Wilson 5000 CB antenna at highway speed on my 2017 F-350 aluminum body?

I have no doubt that the Buyers Products Magnetic Mounting Plate part # 3378895404 will stay attached to the aluminum body of the 2017 F-350 at highway speeds, however the plates are designed to be used for magnetic lights which have a much lower profile than your Larsen 150 Ham Radio antenna which is very tall with a narrow base. At highway speeds the Larsen antenna will most likely not be able to withstand the wind pressure. I took a look at your Wilson 5000 CB Antenna and the base is much wider so it will have a better magnetic connection with the plate, I do not foresee you having any issues with the Wilson at highway speeds with the Buyers magnetic plate.
