Can Swagman Dispatch S44FR Be Used with Bumper Mounted RV Hitch
Question:
Can you mount this rack to a 4inch bumper using a bumper mount adapter? Was looking at the Swagman Platform but was concerned that it was so close to the trailer and would not allow enough room with our spare tire on the back. The Dispatch seems that it would clear the spare tire just fine and we wouldnt have to worry about blocking tail lights or license plate. The spare sticks out at least 10 inches from the bumper. We have a Rockwood Roo 19 and are trying to come up with something that will work for us. Dont really want to put something on A frame because we are using a weight distribution system and most of those racks would sit too high and we could not put our front bed down without removing the entire rack.

Yes, you can use a bumper mount RV hitch receiver, like the Swagman # S64025 to mount the Swagman Dispatch 2 Bike Platform Rack # S44FR. The # S64025 receiver attaches to your 4x4 continuous-welded steel bumper and provides the 2 inch opening needed to mount the Swagman Dispatch (RV approved) bike rack.
The closest part of the Dispatch is 12 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole so it will definitely clear the spare on the back of your Rockwood Roo 19. The rack can carry up to two 45 lb bikes with a max 52 inch wheelbase and up to 3 inch wide tires.
