Can i use this 15k axle brakes on 12k axle? Because I don’t see any difference between 12k axle brakes item 23-409 and 15k axle brakes item 23-407 Thank you!

Yes, you can use the Dexter 15K Hydraulic Drum Brake Assembly # 23-407 in place of the 12K # 23-409 on your trailer axle. Both share the same 12-1/4" x 5" dimensions and 7 bolt pattern so physically there isn't any difference in terms of fit with your existing drums.

The main difference between the two assemblies is the size of the wheel cylinder that's used. When using the 15K assemblies on a 12K axle you may just notice a slight increase in the braking aggression, although the self-adjustments should take care of most of this.

For the kit that includes both the Left and Right Hand assemblies you can use part # 23-406-407. have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.
