Question:
Great site lots of great info but need a bit of help. Im hoping to find a 4-pole flat harness that plugs into my 2015 Range Rover Sport factory connectors but not seeing it here. Ive found item 118275 that is a 7-way connector which I can convert to 4-pole by purchasing an adapter but wondered if there is a 4-pole harness option or a combination 7 and 4. Thanks in advance!

If your 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport has the factory towing package, it will have a small plug somewhere on the rear end that allows you to easily install a 4 way connector for towing. The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118681 is exactly what you need. If your Range Rover Sport was not equipped with the factory tow package, I recommend using the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Kit # 119250KIT which will provide you with a 4 way connector that doesn't require cutting into any of the wiring on your vehicle using zero contact interface technology. This kit allows you to clamp on to the existing wires behind your tail lights for their signal and feeds it into a 4 way harness for a much cleaner and easier solution than hard-wiring.
If you need to add a 7 way connector, I recommend using the # ETBC7L which will easily plug into the Tekonsha T-One and provide you with both a 7 way and 4 way connection with only a little bit of extra work. You'll really only need this if you plan on towing a trailer with brakes and a 7 way connector, so it may or may not be something that you want to go through the extra wiring work.
If you did want to go that direction, once you install the # ETBC7L kit, you'll need a brake controller. I recommend going with the Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller # C51180 which installs on the 7 way connector of your vehicle and allows you to operate your brake controller over a Bluetooth connection with your smart phone. This is by far the easiest to install brake controller that will provide you with a solution that doesn't require mounting anything in the vehicle.
I've linked some installation and review videos about the ZCI harness, 7 way connector and the Curt Echo for you to have a look at and see more about how everything installs.
