Question:
Can you tell me the color of the cold wire plugged into the brake light switch for a 2016 Lincoln MKX? My understanding is a 4 wire connector also involving the speed control. A plug diagram would also suffice. Thanks in advance

Based on my research the cold side of the brake light switch behind the brake pedal in your 2016 Lincoln MKX should be a purple/white wire. With this in mind I do still highly recommend that you test the wires with a circuit tester like # PTW2979 to make sure you find the wire that only receives power with the brake pedal depressed (and no power with any other function). Hopefully starting with the purple/white wire will shorten this testing process to just one wire.
