Question:

Can you recommend a hitch mounted bicycle rack that will fit in a class V 3inch hitch receiver as found on the 2019 Ford F450 models? I would prefer the option to carry 4 bikes.

While most all bike racks are designed for 1-1/4" or 2" hitch receivers, a solution that will work great for your Class V, 3" receiver is the Buyers Products 3" to 2" Receiver Tube Adapter # 337RTA302. This adapter will not reduce the capacity of your 3" hitch which is not all that important to a bike rack but should help if you also use it for 2" towing accessories.

My recommendation for a 4-bike rack is the Saris Freedom # SA4414B because it has a very established track record of use with our customers. The rack can tilt away so you can drop the tailgate and access your bed even with bikes attached. It also mounts your bikes without frame contact to keep them in great condition.

The included video shows installation of the bike rack to a Class V receiver using an adapter as we're recommending above.
