Will Fixed Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16520-16017 Fit 2019 Ford F-250 Short Bed

Question:

Does this hitch fit my 2019 F250 6 3/4 foot bed? I do not want a slider hitch. No one I have talked to ever uses them on the newer trailers.

Yes, the Curt A16 5th 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16520-16017 that you referenced will fit perfectly and drop right into the factory pucks on the 6-3/4 foot bed of your 2019 Ford F-250. When going through our vehicle fit guide we do just show the sliding hitches for the short bed and the fixed units for the long beds, but the actual puck configurations between the two models do not differ.

You are definitely right that many customers use fixed hitches like this with their short bed trucks without an issue, but this does depend on just how long the "short bed" is (the 6-3/4 foot bed on your F-250 is longer than most) and the actual front/nose design on the trailer, so it's always safest to recommend a sliding hitch to ensure cab clearance during 90 degree turns.

If the trailer you plan on towing has a tapered nose you shouldn't have an issue using this fixed Curt A16. I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.
