Question:

Hi! I have a kwikee 28 electric step with one step and need to replace it with a two-step model. Is there a two step model that has the same bolt pattern as the one-step? I’m seeing the 32 is roughly the same width step but it has an 8” bolt pattern and the 28 has a 6-1/2” pattern. Ideally I would just add a second step to the existing system, but lippert has already told me they “don’t recommend it”, and don’t appear to offer the specific part anyway. Any help would be appreciated! Many thanks!

According to Lippert, the closest they can get to the 22 inch by 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern of your existing step would be the # LC372261 Kwikee 32 series, which has a 22 by 8 inch bolt pattern. Although you'd need to drill a couple of holes, the Series 32 would be your best bet as they don't have a 2 step option that would match up exactly to your existing bolt holes..
