Question:
Want to carry my 12foot pungo bottom side up not on its side...can I turn your carrier to do this??

If you want to carry a kayak with the bow pointed up then you will want to use a saddle style kayak carrier. If you have Yakima Round CrossBars then the Yakima DeckHand Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs part # Y04083-2 is exactly what you will want to use. The Yakima DeckHand Kayak Carrier will also work with other styles of crossbars as well but fits the Yakima Round CrossBars best.
I cannot recommend you use a j-style carrier on its side which is what I think you are asking.
