I have two 6000 lbs. axles with 2inch slipper springs . can i mount them in tandem behind each other.

Yes, you can mount two 6,000 lb capacity axles that use slipper springs in tandem on your trailer. What you'll need is a tandem axle slipper spring hanger kit like the part # APT6SE which is designed for 2 inch wide springs like what you have. What equalizers do is prevents any of your axles from ever carrying the full weight of the trailer at any time like over a bump. The weight is always "equalized" between the two axles.
