Troubleshooting Dashes on Display of TempMinder Thermometer # TM22259VP for Outside Temp

Question:
Why does the outdoor temp display frequently display 2 dashes instead of the outdoor temp? I have replaced the batteries.

If the display for your TempMinder Digital Thermometer with Clock # TM22259VP frequently shows dash marks for the outside temperature then there's likely some interference going on between it and the transmitter. The most common cause for this is radio interference from a nearby device.
This can be awfully difficult to track down since we can't see the signals, so the best way to resolve it is to simply move the display and transmitter to a different location. Moving them even a couple feet may be enough to create a more solid connection. You can play around with the best location until those dashes stay away for good.
