I’m looking to buy a 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel and would like to know what baseplate would work with the Rebel edition and what type of mods have to be done for it.

The only baseplate we currently have to fit the 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel is the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BLU99FR. These base plates have removable arms for a clean look on your front end when you're not flat towing.

If you need a compatible tow bar for these Blue Ox baseplates I recommend the Blue Ox Avail # BX7420 which has self-aligning telescoping arms to automatically center your vehicle and lock into place. This tow bar comes equipped with safety cables for added convenience. If you already have a tow bar, please let me know what type you have I can recommend the appropriate adapter for the Blue Ox baseplates.

For a supplemental braking system I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Proportional Braking System # BLU37TR which measures the pressure applied to your RV brakes and matches it to your towed vehicle's braking system.

To have fully functioning lights I recommend using the Optronics Heavy Duty Magnetic Tow Lights # TL21RK which are magnetic lights that don't require any wiring into your vehicle's lighting system and provide the easiest installation. This is going to be much easier than installing a diode kit and wiring that will be required since the 2019 Ram Rebel has LED tail lights and turn signals.
